Due to Hurricane Helene LYNX Sept. 26 Board of Directors Meeting Moved to Monday, Sept. 30

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) Board of Directors meeting for tomorrow has been postponed to Monday, Sept. 30 at 3:30 p.m. so no one must travel due to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Helene. The Oversight Committee has been canceled for September. Their next scheduled meeting is 11 a.m. Oct. 24.

Comments received by the start of each meeting will be read and become part of the meeting notes. Those wishing to provide a comment in person must come to the LYNX Board Room. 

LYNX will continue to monitor the impacts to our area from Hurricane Helene in coordination with our local, state and federal partners.  ACCESS LYNX will only be providing life sustaining medical trips on Sept. 26. Regular trips are expected to resume on Sept. 27 based on the storm’s impact.

Link 701 will not operate on Sept. 26. All other LYNX fixed route, NeighborLink and LYMMO services will be provided as scheduled until further notice.

If sustained winds reach 35 mph, the LYNX transit system will shut down temporarily for safety reasons. LYNX staff will monitor the effects of the storm and will keep the community up-to-date as the hurricane passes through the area.

Road Rangers will patrol I-4 until Central Florida reaches sustained winds of 35 mph, at which time they will be pulled off the street and return when it is deemed safe.
