LYNX Hurricane Milton Statement at 6 p.m. on Oct. 9

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) is releasing the following statement pertaining to Hurricane Milton.

Until further notice all LYNX bus, NeighborLink and ACCESS LYNX services will be off the street until it is safe to return.  ACCESS LYNX anticipates resuming life sustaining trips only on Friday. Customers are encouraged to call 407-423-8747 and book their trip.

Road Rangers will remain on the road until sustained winds reach 35 mph from Hurricane Milton. The LYNX transit system will then fully shut down temporarily for safety reasons.

LYNX has more than 85 bus operators and employees on standby for when the storm passes. This will assist the agency in quickly reestablishing service as soon as possible to keep the community moving forward. The agency is currently providing service to those with special needs as requested by authorities.
