Retired Employee with Perfect Driving and Attendance Record Rehired for 28th Time
The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) has no openings for new bus operators. However, an exception has been made to hire back a former employee for the 28th time. LYNX Human Resources made this decision because Kris Kringle is punctual, has perfect attendance and no accidents on record. Once again, he did promise this year to get his candy cane eating habit under control.
He will drive a festive LYNX bus starting Dec. 2 until heading home for the holiday on Dec. 23. Customers lucky enough to find Santa driving their route will ride that Link for free. The bus will be in service Monday-Saturday and routes will change daily.
A whimsical wonderland filled with gnomes and holiday cheer will transform LYNX Central Station (LCS) this jolly season in celebration of Gnomes for the Holidays. This announcement will serve as an invitation for customers to participate in a holiday celebration in the LCS terminal on Dec. 17, decorated with cheerful gnomes companions while playing games, winning prizes and taking pictures with Santa. The event will be 1:30-4:30 p.m.
